Aim High & Achieve Impact

The Miss CEO Leadership Lab (formerly known as the Miss CEO Summer Leadership Academy) is a 2-day leadership course designed exclusively for high school students interested in developing valuable leadership skills, spearheading high impact projects in their communities, exploring innovative careers, and learning directly from influential female leaders, Stanford faculty, and mentors. By the end of this highly engaging and inspiring program, students are well-versed in critical skills including effective communication, negotiation, time management, networking, goal setting, and risk-taking.

Program Curriculum

  • How can you be a more effective leader in order to achieve your academic, professional, and personal goals? Learn how to develop an impactful and authentic leadership style so you can engage in meaningful efforts aligned with your values, strengths and interests.

  • Utilize your voice and writing in a powerful way so you can clearly communicate your goals, craft and deliver memorable introductions and pitches, conduct compelling interviews, advocate for yourself and more.

  • Cultivate meaningful and long-lasting relationships with mentors and embrace the power of networking as it applies to achieving your goals (e.g. secure strong letters of recommendation, explore potential internships, design research opportunities, propose meaningful community engagements, etc.)

  • Learn how to incorporate useful time management strategies into your own life as you manage school work, college applications, extracurriculars, and various other academic and personal demands. Our team will help you develop a system that works best for you, with an emphasis on your productivity, well-being, and personal fulfillment.

  • Learn how to stretch yourself outside of your comfort zone, while leveraging your strengths and incorporating the skills from this week in order to develop a robust action plan for the upcoming school year. Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive a certificate of completion, and more importantly, a toolkit of leadership skills, templates, and resources to empower you on your academic and professional journey.

  • Students interested in developing their leadership toolkit, building confidence, securing inspiring mentors and sponsors, and connecting with an empowering community of highly-motivated peers.

  • Students will acquire essential leadership skills that will empower them to effectively manage diverse goals and responsibilities, such as school assignments, extracurricular activities, presentations, interviews, and applications. Additionally, these skills will aid them in pursuing opportunities like internships, jobs, and research, as well as in making informed decisions about colleges, majors, and career paths.
