During this one-hour virtual Miss CEO Leadership Bootcamp on October 27, 2019, high school girls will learn how to craft compelling applications, practice winning interviews, and assemble a memorable portfolio which can be applied to a variety of academic and professional opportunities.

Specifically, students will learn how to:

  • Create a positive and memorable impression during interviews and onsite visits

  • Craft a compelling personal statement

  • Effectively request letters of recommendations and informational interviews

Students will leave this highly engaging live online workshop with a wealth of practical insights and valuable templates.

About Your Instructor

Nita Singh Kaushal is the Founder of Miss CEO, a company that offers world-class leadership education, mentorship, and career exploration opportunities to empower students and young women and inspire them to become great leaders. Nita is also a Lecturer in the School of Engineering at Stanford University where she teaches undergraduate and graduate students how to develop leadership skills so they can make meaningful contributions in their careers. Nita currently serves on the Girls @ The Tech Interactive Leadership Council and has held senior management roles at Yahoo! and Intel, served on the Stanford Women’s Community Center Advisory Board, as well as led Yahoo! Women in Tech, a 500+ member organization committed to attracting, developing and retaining more women in technical and executive positions. Nita graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Electrical Engineering.

What is the Miss CEO Leadership Bootcamp Series?

The Miss CEO Leadership Bootcamp Series is a specialized leadership program for girls in grades 9-12. During the program, high school girls will have the opportunity to receive in-depth training and mentorship from expert Stanford instructors as well as exclusive access to an influential network of women leaders and premier resources.

What should I bring to the event?

Students are encouraged to have note-taking materials on hand (i.e. notebook, pen, etc) for exercises involving outlining personal statements, interview scripts, etc.
